Dr. Zacher is board-certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Zacher received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, in Vermillion, South Dakota, in 1987. He completed a residency at Northwestern University, St. Joseph Hospital, in Chicago, Illinois, in 1990.

Following seven years as a family practice and emergency physician in South Dakota, Dr. Zacher practiced family medicine in Guam, from 1997 to 2001. He then served as a family practice physician at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, in El Paso, Texas, for two years. He has resided in the Valley since 2003.
